The Road Not Taken


The poem has been analyzed by many people and some of them think that it represents the choices of life. The narrator comes across a road in the woods. He looks as far as he can at one of the paths, he describes the surroundings and decides that day to take the road less travelled and as a result of this decision, the narrator claims that his life is very different than how it would have been if he had chosen that another path. 

This is a poem that every reader can empathize with the narrator's decision, having to choose between two paths without knowledge of where that road might take him. The narrator looks back at his past and decides to give importance to that particular decision of this life. This poem has been miss understood by many people. Some say that the poem is infused with remorse. That the tittle means something different. The tittle is not " the Road Less Traveled" it is " The Road Not Taken. Maybe he was forced to pick a path because if not he would be stranded in the woods forever. That there's no right path in life and now that he looks back, he wonders how his life would've turn out.
